You will feel the maximum heat by making contact with the mat. Remember, it is not a space heater. Space heaters inefficiently use large amounts of energy through dangerous red hot heating elements to heat air. We’re not trying to heat the air, we’re trying to heat YOU!

Yes! You can add a towel or mat on top of the ToastiMat. It may take some time for the heat to come through this added layer depending on your towel's material and thickness. The ToastiMat's controller and heating element with positive thermal coefficient will maintain a safe temperature and prevent overheating.

Yes! We wouldn’t use it ourselves if we felt unsafe! First, the heating element has a positive thermal coefficient. This means that its maximum temperature is limited by the material itself and prevents overheating This is the safest backup system even if the controller fails. Second, the heating wire is sealed in case moisture or liquids penetrate the outer materials.

However, stop using the ToastiMat in the unlikely event that it becomes frayed or punctured just like you would stop using anything involving electricity, Do not use in standing water.

Wipe with clean, soft cloth after every use. Occasionally deep clean by wiping with a soft cloth and a mild detergent, diluted vinegar (white or apple cider), or disinfecting wipes.

ToastiMats are currently only designed to work on 110 Volts / 60 Hz and have a plug compatible with the US & Canada.

However, they can be used with other electricity and outlets by using a voltage converter and outlet adapter capable of 300 Watts or higher.

NOTE! The ToastiMat only works with US/Canada electricity of 110 Volts & 60 Hz. You will need a true VOLTAGE CONVERTER to convert to this electricity. A simple plug adapter will not work.

1. If not already connected, plug the controller into the mat.
2. Plug the wall plug into a wall outlet.
3. Press the "power" button to turn on the mat.
4. Press the "+" button to increase the heat level. Press the "-" button to decrease the heat level. There are 10 heat levels.
5. The default time is 15 minutes. Press the "clock" button to increase the time to 30, 60, 90 minutes, then in hours from 2 to 10 hours. At 10 hours, pressing again returns the timer to 15 minutes. The timer will countdown and automatically shutoff when the timer reaches 0.

Error Codes:
F1: A safety mechanism has permanently tripped. Stop using the mat for your safety.
F2: The controller does not detect the mat. This is most commonly caused by the controller becoming unplugged or loose from the mat. Try unplugging the controller from the mat and plugging it back it making sure that it is firmly seated in the connector.
F3: The controller is plugged into the wrong electrical frequency. The Toasti Mat operates at 110-130V AC at 60 Hz for the US and Canada. It will not operate at other voltages and frequencies, for example, 220V and 50 Hz. A voltage converter over 400 Watts may be used to convert to the proper voltage.
F4: The controller chip has failed.
F5: The heating wire has shorted. Stop using the mat for your safety.
F6: The controller has overheated. Allow it to cool before turning back on.
